Established in the oh-so-busy Tilak Nagar Market lies Guru Chela, serving North Indian delicacies, something to cater to all the generations, be it the Gurus (elderly) or the Chelas. And what intrigued me the most was the presence of a restaurant, with a garden seating area, in such a crowded neighborhood like Tilak Nagar. But they have done a great job in doing the same!
With simple yet classy interiors and capacious seating , Guru Chela took us by surprise with their outdoor seating area, actually a garden seating, as you don’t expect something like this in a populous area. Hats off to the team Guru Chela on such a great implementation and utilization of the land resource.
Here’s what I had ordered:
Crispy potato tikki, topped with whisked curd, mint chutney and pomegranate seeds is all you need to simmer your chaat cravings! The mint and tamarind chutney really amped up the taste! So you know where to head when all you want is toothsome Tikki Chaat!

How about samosa with a twist? Well samosas are best enjoyed with some Chhole and Mint Chutney and Guru Chela does it right! With pomegranate seeds sprinkled on top, it is sure to delight you!
Price | Rs 79
Just how we Dilliwalas like our noodles, Indianised, spicy and street style. That’s how Guru Chela serves Chowmin! With loads of onions and bell peppers, these are total street style noodles to satisfy all your hunger pangs! Whenever you visit them, you’ve got to try it out!
Price | Rs 129
And my last dish was scrumptious Dry Veg Manchurian! Soft Manchurian sautéed perfectly with onions, bell peppers and high flavors of garlic and vinegar, was one of the best dishes they serve! They also have a gravy option if you want to pair it up with some noodles!
Price | Rs 169
So the next time you crave some street food, Guru Chela is there to answer your prayers!
